Homework?? I'm Moving OUT!

After a frustrating afternoon of being FORCED to do homework before playing, and lots of pouting, and whining, and GRIPING, he was finally released into the wilds of the backyard.

On his way out the door, he announced, "MOM! I'M MOVING OUT! I'm moving into the backyard into my OWN cardboard house!!!"

Oh, he had the look of an (almost) 8 year old with PLANS. He wasn't going to live with an annoying mother who is on his case to do HOMEWORK! He's too OLD for that kind of treatment, you know!

Slots of fun for the kiddos

Well, Dana managed to find someone local getting rid of a slot car set. Lots of track a few cars and some accessory goodies. The boys are loving it. Already wanting to spend their money on new cars and such. Check it out. (click pics to make them bigger)





And here's what the rear end of the bike looks like now with the new signals. Between that and the license plate frame and changes, it cleaned up quite a bit. Still not the coolest look around but a far cry from what it was when I got it. (again, click pics to make them bigger)

We were shocked Matt placed so well. David kinda threw his car together at the last minute, just so he could enter one. (Matt had no interest in helping, except for the decorating part)



David won the 3rd Place Trophy for Family Division



It was a difficult moment when David and Matt were called up front to recieve trophies. Ben was heartbroken. Ben didn't want the trophy unless he earned it fairly, but he was so sad he didn't win. Luckilly, when we got home, David and Ben had a remach at home, and Ben won the trophy fair and square.


Yes, Ben's wearing a tiger cub uniform. Someone gave him a uniform that their son had outgrown for when he starts cub scouts (August). He insisted on wearing it for the picture. LOL
